The Role of the District Attorney's Office:

The staff of the Schuylkill County District Attorney's Office is comprised of dedicated individuals that consists of Attorneys, Detectives, and Administrative Professionals. The main role of the District Attorney's Office is to serve the citizens of Schuylkill County by working in conjunction with local and state police and various county government offices and agencies to effectively prosecute all criminal matters. As the chief law enforcement agency, the District Attorney's Office prosecutes all cases involving felony, misdemeanor, and summary offenses. The staff handles approximately 2,200 criminal cases each year, including juvenile adjudications, miscellaneous court hearings, criminal contempts, and appeals.
